Pet Bath Day set for May 18th

FishHawk, FL -- Fish Hawk Animal Clinic is hosting a  "$20 Bath Day" on May 18th 2013.

All dogs and cats of any size will be washed at one low price. This price includes the bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning. 

Additional services- like painting of pet's toe nails, anal gland expression, medicated bath- will be available upon request.

*All pets must be current on vaccines or have vaccines administered upon entrance to clinic.

Mom and detectives share different stories about baby's drowning

TAMPA, Florida -- It's a tragic case that the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says should serve as a reminder to all parents: don't leave children alone in water, even if it's just a few inches high.

Brush Fire: County Road 630 in Frostproof

Frostproof, Florida -- After briefly being completely shut down due to a brush fire in the area, County Road 630 East -- from the 7500 block to the 8800 block -- has been reopened to traffic.

Polk County Fire crews are battling the fire that reportedly ignited from a lightning strike. Officials say the fire is about 375 acres in size and due to shifting winds is blowing back onto itself. 

There were five structures in danger at one point that were being protected by various fire units. At this time, they say there are no structures in any danger.

Mother arrested after infant drowns in bathtub

Tampa, Florida -- The mother of a 7-month-old infant who drowned in a bathtub is in jail after police say her negligence led to her baby's death.

Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies say around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Sierra McMillan put her 7-month-old in the bathtub with the water running. She then left the infant, with the water still running, to answer the door to a solicitor.

While inside, the solicitor told police he heard the water running and the child crying. After a few minutes, the crying had stopped.

USF Tutoring & learning services offers extra exam week help!

Tampa, Florida - The University of South Florida's Tutoring and Learning Services has extended hours for finals week! 

If you need some extra help to get that passing grade, finals week hours are as follows: 

Man arrested for series of overnight fires in Wimauma

Wimauma, Florida - Investigators say a series of overnight fires in Wimauma were arson, and they believe they have their suspect in custody.

Three empty mobile homes about 150 yards apart on Bonita Driver were set on fire some time late Sunday night. The cab of a nearby tractor trailer was also ignited. Nobody was injured.

On Monday afternoon, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue's Fire Investigation Unit arrested 24-year-old Pedro "Petey" Senteno III. Senteno is charged with two counts of arson of a dwelling, and one count of vehicle arson.
