Boy hospitalized after drinking lighter fluid

Tampa, Florida -- A little boy went to the hospital on Monday after his family suspected he drank some lighter fluid from a water bottle.

3-year-old Rhakim Brewer's family was having a cookout on Memorial Day when the cook walked away from the grill for a moment. That's when Rhakim reportedly picked up an Aquafina bottle filled with lighter fluid and started to drink. The boy's parents immediately got the bottle away from him and called 911.

Confirmed: VA Audit underway at Tampa's James A. Haley Hospital

TAMPA, Florida — The VA confirms auditors were on site in Tampa Monday and Tuesday of last week, and while the findings won't be released until the nationwide review is complete, a spokesperson for the Tampa VA tells 10 News "the audit indicated employees exhibited nothing but passion and dedication to serving our veterans."

But not all local veterans agree.

Tampa, Florida -- 10 News has learned that Al Austin passed away on Wednesday night.

Austin, a prominent Tampa developer, was one of the greatest drivers behind getting the Republican National Convention to Tampa in 2012. The former Republican Party finance chairman was also responsible for building the Gulf coast's single biggest business district: the West Shore business district.

He also led a fundraising campaign for the expansion of the University of Tampa and chaired that Tampa Airport Authority.

Police identify suspect in murder of Tampa girl

Temple Terrace, Florida – UPDATE: Granville Ashanti Ritchie was charged with unlawful sex act with a minor overnight. No word yet if this is connected to the Felecia Williams case.

Original Story:

The Temple Terrace Police announced that they have a suspect in the murder of a nine-year-old girl who was found dead near the Courtney Campbell Causeway last Saturday.

Granville Ashanti Ritchie was arrested by authorities in Pinellas County on drug related charges.
